The practice of mindfulness decreases our tendency to worry about things that have not yet happened and improves our control over those thoughts that are distressing to us.

Anxiety occurs in combination of different physical and mental manifestations that are not attributable to real dangers, manifested in the form of a crisis or as a persistent state, which could lead to panic, relates to the anticipation of future, indefinable and unpredictable hazards.

The most striking feature of anxiety is its anticipatory nature, which means, it has the ability to foresee or point out the hazard or threat to the person giving him or her significant functional value.

Mindfulness has acquired great importance in its therapeutic application for the management of anxiety, as it aims to be able to relate to our internal experiences of fear and anxiety
with tolerance and acceptance, without avoiding them.

When we practice mindfulness we pay conscious attention to our internal experience of anxiety, without identifying with what we think of the
anxiety In this way we come to have an understanding of our anxiety experience that provides us with keys toface fear and panic, without reacting, achieving compassionate self-regulation, tolerant and without avoidance.
